CBCT scanning, also known as cone beam computed tomography, allows our dentists to get an in-depth view of your mouth and jaw giving us the edge when diagnosing and treating your smile. The scanner rotates around you, capturing data using a cone-shaped x-ray.  In less than a minute, about 150-200 images are captured from a variety of angles. The data captured are used to reconstruct a 3D image.  3-D imaging is effective for diagnosing and evaluating dental conditions as well as planning treatments.  The more information we have, the easier it is to make the best treatment decisions for our patients.
